C-PREP - 14U AAA/MAJORS INFORMATION
The (14 AAA/Majors) C-Prep league games are based upon High School baseball rules. The playing field (games) will include 90’ bases and 60’ 6" pitching distance with a pitching mound. Parker Youth Sports provides one practice per week. This division is for 7th and 8th graders (primarily 14 years of age) and cannot be in high school. Both home and away games will NOT be played in Parker
** In Territory rules apply and rosters are required for the 14 AAA/Majors league.
** All teams must follow the USSSA and/or USA and AYL bat rules but are exempt from the High School requirements of the drop -3 BBCOR. Players are allowed to use drop -5 bats.
** Protests will be allowed per AYL rules.
Games have a 1-hour 45-minute time limit. Coaches declare if they intend to bat 9/play 9, bat 10 with an EH, or bat the entire lineup with open substitution. Both teams do not have to play the same substitution rule. There are no minimum playing time restrictions.
14 AAA/Majors C-Prep will consist of an American division and a National division (American being the more competitive group with kids primarily in 8th grade). The two divisions are intended to provide teams quality games against similar competition. Coaches declare which division they intend to participate in; however, teams are played by the number of 7th graders or 8th graders they have on their roster. At the discretion of the AYL Baseball Board, teams may be moved between divisions to balance the competition.
The 14 AAA/Majors C-Prep season will consist of approx. 8 league games and a single-elimination playoff at the conclusion of the spring season. Games will be played Monday through Friday, beginning Early March through Early May each year. Games will be played during the week. The team fee is $2340
REGISTRATION
Online team registration begins in early February after the total league fee has been paid. The initial $1000 team deposit is due by January 5, 2024. The balance $1340 will be due by January 31, 2024. Checks are made payable to: Parker Youth Sports. Credit Cards are also accepted. Please mail to: Parker Youth Sports, PO Box 1044. Parker, CO 80134. Information that needs to be included with registration is: team name/age and division desired. Head coach name, e-mail and cell phone as well as all assistant coaches names.
If you prefer to use a credit card, please e-mail: parkeryouthsports@comcast.net for the link to register and pay via credit card. Please include the above information with the e-mail. Once we receive your team fees you will receive a link to email parents for the players on your team to register.
Schedules will be prepared with teams playing up to two (2) games per week in March. In the event of a cancelation, re-scheduled games will be played at the earliest opportunity where both teams are available, not to exceed 3 games per week for either team. Games may not be rescheduled based on the AYL discretion.
14 AAA/Majors C-Prep will have a single-elimination playoff the last two weeks of the season. The single-elimination playoffs will begin in early May each season with the 14 AAA/Majors C-Prep championship game played on or about the second or third week of May each year. First and second place teams will receive individual trophies and a team plaque. Teams will be seeded by their finish in the spring season games. Separate playoffs will be held for both upper and lower division teams.
